The American hotel amsterdam is a wonderful mixture of comfort, style and grace with sweeping walk-ways, spectacular arched roofs, stained glass windows and interior wall painting. All of the rooms, as well as the suites have been newly renovated so all are equipped with modern facilities. There are 175 non-smoking rooms have been divided into Classic American Rooms, Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites. There are also two special suites; the Mata Hari and Ruud de Wild Art Suite.
Built in 1900, using original Art Nouveau architectural style, these decorative features can be found in the cafe, public areas and some of the 175 non-smoking rooms. The American hotel amsterdam includes such amenities as fitness gyms and sauna facilities, which are all free of charge to the guests. Some of the other amenities include conference facilities, the hotel’s own boat landing and it features many rooms with views of the canal, or the Leidseplein.
